Democrats lead Republicans in a poll for Congress 47 to 39 percent. Poll
This is one of the largest leads the Democrats have had as the focus has been on the Democrats in the close primary. Polls show the race for President closer but the Democrat Obama leads.

Obama opened up an 8% lead over McCain for President. Obama has also taken his largest lead over Hillary by a commanding 26% points as Hillary campaign falls out of it.

Democrats have a small 5% lead in the generic poll for Congress. Asked who people support for Congress the Democrats lead 46 to 41. Many thought the Democrats had a huge lead in the generic party polls. When polls show Republicans and Democrats near even Republicans win the Congress due to the make up of Congressional districts that have large number of Democrat voters in liberal blue states and cities. Republicans outnumber Democrats in larger areas and suburbs covering many more Congressional seats and more red states.

In a shocking poll, by Zogby, Obama now leads Hillary 44 to 42 with a day away from the election. Hillary is likely to lose in NC and needs a win in Indiana to keep her campaign going.

Obama leads by 9 over Hillary. The NC primary is very important for Obama to solidify his lead in the delegate count. Winning NC, Obama can break any momentum Hillary got from winning in Pennsylvania or Indiana.
